Our ethos

We have personally designed a natural swimming space to give us a chemical-free, calming, stimulating and fun environment for ourselves, our family and for others to escape for a while and leave the stresses of modern life behind.

How we share this space is constantly evolving and guided by the people we meet, the energy they bring and the restorative process they experience. We find the collaboration between our retreat hosts and our retreat guests and how our space allows this to happen is something special.

What we offer

Wellness workshops

We are proud to host carefully selected wellness workshops from local practitioners. Drawing on their broad experience of clinical practice and retreat hosting, our collaborators create a wonderful space for you to escape, rest and restore. Whether you’re looking to learn or develop Breathwork practices, explore Chinese Medicine Philosophy, Come together in Yoga practice, Tone and Strengthen with Pilates or experience the incredible relaxation a Sound Bath offers, we have a variety of choices on offer throughout the year.

Wild Swimming and Sauna

We have designed and created a natural swimming pond with views overlooking the SouthDowns. 100% rainwater filled and naturally filtered, this chemical-free swimming experience, surrounded by nature is something very special. Our carefully designed Sauna comfortably seats groups of 6-8 and offers a wonderfully relaxing view across the pond to the views beyond. Whether you’re watching the birdlife swooping across, taking a dip or catching the incredible sunsets, you will find this a great way to take a mini escape.

Nutrition & Food

Each Retreat is accompanied by nutritious snacks, drinks and meals, depending on the retreat package on offer. We are passionate about good nutrition as a cornerstone for our overall physical and mental well being. We love to introduce our guests to tasty and healthy food and are constantly developing our own knowledge to make this varied and relevant to the seasons.

I joined Jo and Mel’s Ready for Autumn day retreat in Steyning yesterday and it was everything I needed and more. The day was filled with wonderful, nourishing practices (and food) beautifully guided by Jo and Mel.
The breathwork session was new to me and it felt truly powerful - it may have been life-changing. It gave me a huge lightbulb moment , especially in the supportive conversations we had afterwards.
I came away feeling inspired, with fresh perspective and a renewed commitment to my own self care. My sleep after was wonderful, which is not normal.
